Energy efficient lamps such as LED and fluorescent are well known for their long life and lower power consumption. A side benefit of lower wattages is the reduction in heat emitted by a luminaire. In the old days, a halogen light source or a high wattage incandescent was the norm, which required the use of very heat resistant diffuser materials such as glass and metals.
As the lamp heat has decreased, we saw an opportunity to look at some non- traditional diffusion materials. Among the most exciting of these materials are the EyeCandy, Shimmer and Pinstripe films. These films are embedded with thousands of tiny mirrors that create a kinetic visual effect as the eye changes relative to the surface of the film.
They’re eye popping and show stopping. Perfect for your next project!
